Mackenzie Pavilion

Mackenzie, São Paulo - SP

Project: Ricardo Bianco, Mariana Manarelli, Louise Crivilenti

The Mackenzie Pavilion is the first in a series of buildings aimed at integrating architectural education with hands-on construction practice. This innovative experience at FAU Mackenzie offers a full immersion on the construction site, combining technical learning, creativity, and teamwork.

The modular structure, designed for quick assembly, was conceived to serve as a communal space on campus. Every detail was carefully planned, taking into account the short construction timeline, simplicity of building methods, and sustainability, with wood as the primary material—a choice that balances durability with environmental responsibility.

More than just an architectural object, the pavilion is a learning tool, built collaboratively and open to experimentation. This is just the beginning of a journey that promises to create more spaces reflecting the values of collaborative and sustainable architecture on the Mackenzie Campus.
